Any applicable provision on which law applies will be added before these terms are finalised for launch. This draft does not select an exclusive court or remove protections that apply where you live.
2. Your account
Use accurate account information and keep your login details private. An account is for the individual coach who registers it. You can organise work for multiple teams or groups within your own account; this does not create shared accounts for other coaches.
Do not share or sell account access, impersonate another person, attempt to bypass membership restrictions, upload harmful files or interfere with the service. If you think someone else has accessed your account, change your password and contact admin@thedrillsapp.com.
When creating a new account, you agree to the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy using one checkbox. The box is not selected for you. Creating an account does not purchase a subscription or consent to marketing. Existing accounts are not treated as having accepted this draft or acknowledged the Privacy Policy simply by signing in.
3. Plans and access
The following features are available in the current version. An allowance for saved sessions is the number of sessions stored in your account at one time. It does not reset each month.
- Free account
- Access to free drills and up to 5 saved sessions. No PDF exports are included.
- Basic
- Full access to the published Drill Library and up to 50 saved sessions. No PDF exports are included.
- Pro
- Full access to the published Drill Library, unlimited saved sessions, Calendar planning, Smart search and up to 30 successful PDF exports of complete sessions per calendar month in UTC.
Not currently available: The eBooks section is unfinished. Planned benefits include 10% discounts on eBooks for Basic and 25% for Pro. Discounts on eBooks cannot currently be redeemed. No availability date is promised for these planned features.
Smart search uses AI to find relevant published practices. It needs an internet connection and is subject to request limits and temporary availability. It does not create new drills or guarantee that a practice suits your players. Standard search remains available without the AI service.
Coaches can view the Calendar layout without Pro, but changing a schedule requires Pro. Each session can contain up to 5 drills. Unlimited saved sessions does not remove the limit of 5 drills within an individual session.
A PDF export covers one whole saved session. Only a successfully generated export uses the allowance. The Pro allowance resets at the start of each calendar month in UTC, and unused exports do not roll over. Free and Basic accounts have an allowance of zero exports. PDF QR links require the saved session owner to sign in; sending a PDF or its QR code does not grant the recipient access to a private session.
The Tactics App membership is a separate product. Basic members receive 10% off one membership payment and Pro members receive 25% off one membership payment. Your purchase confirmation email includes the discount code and a link to The Tactics App. Enter the code at The Tactics App checkout. The discount applies once, not to later renewals. A discount is not an included membership.
4. Prices and subscriptions
Payments use Stripe Checkout. You choose a plan and payment option on the website, review the amount and recurring payment details, then confirm the purchase on Stripe. A plan shown on an account is an access record, not proof that a payment has been collected. A checkout marked as a test does not collect real money.
The Terms and Privacy agreement is made when you create your account. Checkout does not ask you to repeat that checkbox. Before a purchase or upgrade, review the displayed plan, price and recurring payment details, then confirm the plan for payment. The Terms remain linked, and the purchase record identifies the document provided with that plan confirmation. Account agreement or plan confirmation is not a separate express request to start services during the statutory cancellation period and does not waive cancellation rights for videos or downloads.
| Plan | Monthly | First year upfront |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | £8.99 per month | £79.99 for 12 months, then £8.99 per month |
| Pro | £13.99 per month | £119.99 for 12 months, then £13.99 per month |
Where regional pricing is offered, select your actual billing country before reviewing the plan. The website and Stripe Checkout show the amount and currency you will pay. Prices may differ by country, and some countries use a supported alternative currency. The selected price is fixed for the subscription; it is not recalculated at each payment using a live exchange rate. Your bank may apply its own conversion or fees if your payment account uses a different currency.
Existing subscribers keep their recorded prices and currency when regional pricing is introduced. Selecting another country on the website does not change an existing subscription. An upgrade is quoted within that subscription's recorded prices and currency. Contact us if your billing country changes or you need help with a country or payment review.
The upfront option covers one initial period of 12 calendar months at a reduced price. After that period, it changes to monthly billing for the same plan unless you cancel renewal. The monthly amount and currency that follow the first year are shown before payment and recorded in your purchase confirmation. It does not renew for another upfront year. After purchase, Subscription & billing shows the next payment date. Monthly plans renew each month until you cancel.
Live checkout currently accepts cards through Stripe. PayPal is not currently available. Review the full amount shown before confirming payment. No trial period is included in the current checkout. For a new purchase, membership access is activated after payment is confirmed, any required renewal schedule is ready and our email provider accepts the purchase confirmation for sending. If sending fails, the confirmation is queued for another attempt. Contact us if a paid purchase remains pending. You can view invoices and manage payment methods through Subscription & billing. Tax treatment, renewal notices and remaining consumer contract information still require review before public launch. Accepting this draft alone does not authorise any payment.
An eligible paid Basic member can request a Pro upgrade from Subscription & billing. The app obtains a quote for the price difference over the remaining paid period. You must review and confirm that quote before paying through Stripe. The upgrade applies after payment is confirmed and our email provider accepts its confirmation for sending, keeps the existing period end date and does not add another full billing period. Your existing Basic access remains while the confirmation is pending. For a membership paid upfront for the first year, the remaining first year becomes Pro. The following Pro monthly amount and currency are shown in the upgrade quote and purchase confirmation. Some accounts, pending payments, very small balances or changes close to renewal need support instead of an automatic upgrade.
5. Cancellation and refunds
To stop renewal, open Subscription & billing, select Cancel membership, review the date your access ends and confirm. For a Stripe subscription, the app updates the Stripe subscription or its renewal schedule. Access continues for the paid period shown. You can keep the membership by removing a scheduled cancellation while that membership remains eligible. An account administered without a Stripe subscription has a local access record rather than an automatic payment instruction.
Cancelling renewal stops the next subscription period from starting. Cancelling the initial upfront year before its end also stops the switch to monthly payments. Cancelling renewal does not automatically issue a refund, submit a refund request or decide a statutory cancellation request. Cancelling membership does not delete your account or saved work.
Cancelling a new subscription: consumer rights
If you buy as a UK consumer, you normally have a right to cancel a new subscription without giving a reason until the end of 14 days after the day the contract was made. Buying as a consumer means acting wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession. Being a football coach does not by itself determine whether you are a consumer. Any longer period or additional protection required by applicable law still applies, including an extension where required cancellation information has not been provided.
If you exercise a valid statutory cancellation right, we will refund the subscription payment less any proportionate charge that the law permits for services already supplied. We can make a deduction for services only if we gave you the required cancellation and charging information before you entered the contract, and you expressly requested that those services start during the cancellation period.
Any permitted deduction will reflect the services supplied up to the time you told us you were cancelling, in proportion to the full service covered by the contract. It will be based on the price agreed for those services, subject to any market value limit required by law. We will explain the calculation. We will not add a cancellation fee or deduct an arbitrary amount for opening a practice, generating a PDF or logging in.
If the conditions for a lawful deduction are not met, we will not charge for services supplied during the statutory cancellation period. The current checkout does not collect a separate express request to start services during that period, so we will not make a service deduction for a new purchase through that checkout based on account agreement, plan confirmation or using the account. This does not add a refund entitlement outside any applicable statutory cancellation right.
Existing purchases keep any more favourable refund promise agreed at the time of purchase. If an earlier checkout recorded a separate express request, we retain that original record and review the applicable terms and legal requirements for that purchase. Digital content, including streamed videos and downloads, has separate cancellation rules; we do not automatically apply a service charge to it. The condition that paid features must not have been used applies only to our goodwill policy for accidental renewals. It does not apply to this cancellation right.
To exercise this right, send a clear statement that you wish to cancel to admin@thedrillsapp.com, or write to SPORTS LIBRARIES LTD, 8d Clay Flatts Industrial Estate, Workington, United Kingdom, CA14 3YE. You can use the optional form below or the printable cancellation form, but neither is compulsory. Send your statement before the cancellation period ends and keep a copy. Include your account email and purchase date if available so we can locate the purchase. You do not need to sign in, give a reason, supply card details or use a particular form.
A valid statutory cancellation ends the relevant subscription contract and its future renewals. You do not also need to use the separate Cancel membership button to exercise this right. Our support team handles the request and confirms the cancellation and refund. The website does not issue an automatic refund when you open the form or cancel renewal in billing.
We will make any refund due without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision to exercise a valid cancellation right. We will use the same payment method as the original payment unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a refund fee. These cancellation rules do not promise a refund whenever a membership is ended early and do not limit your rights if content or services are faulty, unavailable or not as described.

Accidental renewals: request a goodwill refund within 7 days
If your subscription renews accidentally, contact admin@thedrillsapp.com within 7 days of the renewal date to request a full refund of that renewal payment under our discretionary goodwill policy. The policy applies where you have not used paid features since that renewal, such as opening a paid drill, changing Calendar plans or generating a session PDF. It does not add a refund guarantee for an initial purchase.
Include your account email and renewal date so we can locate the payment. Do not send payment card details. Each request is reviewed manually, using the relevant payment and limited account activity records described in our Privacy Policy. Signing in or opening the app alone does not count as using a paid feature and does not disqualify a request.
We will check the circumstances and confirm our decision. Where our review confirms that a request meets these goodwill conditions, we will manually refund the full renewal payment. The app does not automatically decide eligibility or issue a refund. Use Subscription & billing separately to stop future renewals.
Your statutory rights
This goodwill policy is additional to your statutory rights. The conditions for goodwill refunds, including the request deadline of 7 days and the requirement that paid features have not been used, do not limit any applicable statutory cancellation right, refund right or remedy for faulty, unavailable or misdescribed content or services. You may still have rights where the goodwill conditions are not met. Contact admin@thedrillsapp.com to raise a statutory cancellation or service concern.
Account registration is not consent to give up cancellation rights or to start paid digital content immediately. Browsing a preview, signing in, accepting these draft terms or confirming a payment is not an express request to start services during the cancellation period. Activity records alone do not authorise a deduction. An earlier recorded request does not itself establish that every legal condition for a deduction is met, and we do not treat the whole subscription price as a charge for services just because it includes services. This draft does not introduce a waiver of cancellation rights for digital content. We do not infer or add a request where none was made.
6. Using coaching content
You may use practices you have access to when planning and delivering your own football coaching sessions, including sessions you coach for a club. Access to a practice does not transfer ownership of its video, illustrations or written materials.
Unless the relevant rights holder permits it, do not republish drill videos or materials, sell copies, distribute the library, remove ownership notices or provide another service with copies of the content. This does not restrict uses permitted by applicable law.
PDF export does not by itself grant permission to publish, sell or distribute our drill materials. The scope of any additional permission to share coaching packs outside your own coaching use remains under review and must be confirmed before broader sharing is offered.
Adapt practices to your players, facilities, equipment and the conditions on the day. Check that a suggested practice is suitable before using it. Smart search recommendations can be incomplete or unsuitable and need the same coaching judgement.
7. Your saved work and uploads
You retain the rights you hold in your original notes, session arrangements and uploaded material. You allow us to store and process this material as needed to provide the features you use. This does not give us ownership of your original work.
Only add material you are entitled to use. Take particular care with information or videos identifying players and children, and avoid unnecessary personal or health information in notes and Smart search. The Privacy Policy explains the current handling of information.
Saved sessions and calendar events can hold separate copies of notes and timings. Editing or deleting a session does not automatically change an event previously created from it. Keep your own copy of work you need to retain. Hosting backups do not replace a personal export or guarantee recovery of every change. A full account export is not currently available.
8. Availability and responsibility
Features may be unavailable during development, maintenance or service interruptions. We will describe material limitations before offering paid access. This draft does not give us an unrestricted right to remove paid benefits without considering your contract and applicable rights.
We may need to restrict access to address a credible security threat, unlawful activity or misuse of the service. Any action should be proportionate. Where practical and lawful, we will explain the reason and provide a way to raise a concern. The full support and review process still needs to be established before launch.
Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence where that protection applies. Your mandatory consumer rights are not reduced by this draft. No general financial limit on liability has been set here.
9. Questions and concerns
Questions about an account, content or membership should be directed to SPORTS LIBRARIES LTD at admin@thedrillsapp.com or through Contact & Support. You can also write to our registered office: 8d Clay Flatts Industrial Estate, Workington, United Kingdom, CA14 3YE. Do not send your password or payment card details with a request.
The complaints process, applicable consumer information and any required information about resolving disputes need to be finalised for the countries in which the service will be offered.
10. Changes and acceptance
This copy is version 2026-10-26-draft-16, dated 26 October 2026. You can save or print it using your browser. Its dated link identifies the copy presented at registration.
When you create an account and tick the agreement box, we record your account reference, the date and time, the Terms version, its draft status and a document fingerprint identifying that copy. We also record that you acknowledged the Privacy Policy, its link and the time of that acknowledgement. Acceptance is not preselected. If the Terms version changes before you submit, you will need to review and accept the new version. Earlier accounts keep their original records; no missing agreement or Privacy acknowledgement is added retrospectively.
Account registration is not treated as acceptance of final terms or a later paid offer. A subscription purchase or upgrade records your confirmation of the displayed plan for payment, the Terms version provided with it, its document fingerprint and the confirmation time. This records a plan confirmation, not a repeated account agreement checkbox. Where an earlier checkout recorded a request to start services immediately, its original wording, version, time and payment reference are retained with that purchase. We do not create such a request from account agreement or plan confirmation. Neither waives statutory cancellation or refund rights.
For a confirmed purchase or upgrade, we provide an email confirmation you can save. The email and its attachments record the purchased plan, amount, payment option, renewal arrangements and the Terms provided with the purchase. For current purchases, the record identifies when you confirmed the plan for payment. Any separate request from an earlier checkout is included only where it was actually made and recorded. The exact Terms provided with that purchase are attached, including cancellation information and the optional cancellation form. Keep this confirmation and its attachments for your records. Sending acceptance by our email provider does not guarantee arrival in your inbox; check your spam folder or contact us if the confirmation is missing. Material changes will need to be explained and any necessary agreement obtained. The current terms page will identify the latest version.
